How to apply

You must apply in writing on the correct form (form No.1) and submitted included a copy of your passport and a copy of your residential certificate in Vietnam. Profile required to be made of 2 copies.

You can apply to the Provincial Justice Department where you are currently residing in Vietnam. In the case you have left Vietnam, you can apply to Provincial Justice Department where you resided before left Vietnam.

You may, if you wish, authorise the release of your applying to another person. In the case, this person must apply in writing on the correct form (form N0.2). The proxy must have written and be certified by the People's Committee of communes where you or your proxy are residing. If you have left Vietnam, the proxy must be certified by competent authorities of the your country or you are permanent residing and must be legalized according to the provisions of Vietnamese law. 

All forms can be obtained from Provincial Justice Department.

You may not apply for information about another person without their written permission. 

Duration for issuing Criminal Record Certificate

The time frame for processing requests is 16 working days in normal case and is 33 working days in complex case, from receipt of the correctly completed application.
